Christine A. Toscano
Since 1984 Christine has been learning to integrate practicing Acupuncture, qi gong, meditation and creative expression in order to benefit health. She first experienced the benefits of the Feldenkrais method for herself in the 1970’s.
After retiring as an acupuncturist she decided to train professionally as a Feldenkrais practitioner & teacher. The Feldenkrais Movement Center, opened in 2013 bests allows Christine to express a true integration of her 40 years experience in creative ways.
Drawing on her experience as an licensed acupuncturist (1984), singer and creative song writer, qi gong practitioner with a strong background in Jungian psychology and meditation she feels teaching the Feldenkrais Method® allows her to bring together her knowledge in new and rewarding ways; working with others to create physical and emotional health. Creative expression as it relates to physical and emotional well being is of primary interest to her.
Christine is interested in hosting research-based work in neuroplasticity; the Feldenkrais Method and the benefits of moving meditation. At The Feldenkrais Center at Salmon Creek, we serve people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds within the surrounding community. In particular we are reaching out to professionals: healthcare providers, caregivers, teachers, to increase their awareness of what the Feldenkrais Method offers our community.
